Brooks Koepka’s astronomical LIV Golf earnings revealed after latest £3.7m payday

LIV Golf star Brooks Koepka became the first athlete to win five events on the Saudi-funded series at Greenbrier, and his latest win bumped up his already gargantuan earnings

A little more than two years after joining LIV Golf, Brooks Koepka is having fewer regrets by the day.

That’s if he had any in the first place considering he was almost instantly successful in the Saudi-backed series and remains competitive on the major circuit. And he continues to dominate in the Saudi sphere after making history with his win at LIV Greenbrier.

His most recent win made him the first competitor to win five LIV Golf events, cementing his place as one of the league’s most valuable stars since the exodus began in 2022. Scooping both the individual title and clinching the team prize in West Virginia was worth an eye-watering £3.7million ($4.75m) to the American.

Jon Rahm looked as though he was nailed on for victory this past weekend before Koepka came back to beat the Spaniard in a play-off. However, three-time PGA Championship-winner Rahm’s £1.7m ($2.3m) runner-up prize was no small consolation.

That bumped Koepka’s LIV earnings for 2024 north of £9m ($11.8m) and puts him fourth on the league’s money list with one ‘normal season’ event to go. But that still only accounts for a fraction of his entire wealth fund since joining the ranks of the rival tour.

Having won two events in each of the past two editions of the LIV Golf League, Koepka’s total earnings on the series now sit at £30m ($38.8m). That accounts for roughly £26m ($33.5m) in individual winnings and £3.9m ($5m) in team-based prizes.

As one can gauge from that breakdown, the Californian doesn’t rely on the work of others to build his balance under the LIV banner. And it’s no wonder he was the one who claimed the honour of becoming the first player to finish top of the leaderboard at five separate events.
