While the whole golf community is torn between PGA Tour and LIV Golf, there’s one golf league that has swept a greater viewership on YouTube. No, if you just thought about the DP World Tour, you are wrong. Led by Phil Harrison, the Legends Tour has now created a considerable gap between its subscribers and those of the PGA Tour. But if you were to build a leaderboard of all major golf tours, how would it look?

Paul McGinley, a professional golfer and broadcaster at SkySports Golf, recently pointed out the present state of viewership across the major golf leagues. On his X handle, he congratulated the Legends Tour. He stated, “This is quite incredible and a hearty very well done to all @euLegendsTour 👏💪” But along with his wishes, he has also portrayed a list that includes all the tours and their present number of subscribers.

While the PGA Tour is far behind in terms of subscribers, it has an impressive 1689 million views from 20,481 videos. Legends Tour has 20.35 million views from only 962 videos. Another thing to keep in mind is the fact that the PGA Tour’s YouTube channel emerged in 2006, while the Legends Tour showed up in the latter half of 2020.

The difference between the PGA Tour and the Legends Tour is only about 0.34 million. But what kind of content from each of these Tours’ YouTube channels is the most popular? While the Legends Tour’s most-viewed video to date is a highlight of the final round of the Staysure PGA Seniors Championship 2024, the PGA Tour’s most-viewed content dates back three years. It covers the moment when wrestler Goldberg tossed a fan into the water.
