Jordan Spieth was in a reflective mood after a fine third round at the John Deere Classic, which comes after his friend Smylie Kaufman gave his take on his recent struggles

Jordan Spieth made a remarkable turnaround at the John Deere Classic this weekend, bouncing back after an intense interview with CBS golf correspondent Amanda Balionis.

The 30-year-old golfer was languishing in 57th place after the first two rounds but surged up the leaderboard on Saturday, carding his lowest round of the yeara dazzling eight-under-par 63.

This surge propelled Spieth an impressive 35 spots up the leaderboard before Sunday’s final round.

Despite not being able to replicate his Saturday magic, finishing with a one-under-par 70, Spieth expressed satisfaction with his overall performance. Meanwhile, Davis Thompson, hot off a tied-ninth finish at the US Open, clinched victory at the PGA Tour event with a staggering 28-under-par total.
