Charlie Woods and Kai Trump will play in the Junior Invitational, one of the most prestigious tournaments in amateur golf, with the world’s top young players set to compete.

Charlie Woods, the son of 15-time major champion Tiger Woods, and Donald Trump’s granddaughter, Kai, are set to participate in the Junior Invitational – one of the most prestigious tournaments in amateur golf. The tournament will take place at Sage Valley in Graniteville, South Carolina next month, with 36 boys and 24 girls ready to compete.

Previous winners of the boys’ event include world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and two-time PGA Tour winner Akshay Bhatia, while the girls’ event was launched in 2022.Asterisk Talley, No. 1 in the girl’s amateur rankings, is the reigning champion and is part of this year’s lineup.

The event, first held in 2011, is invitational only and aims to showcase the best young talents in the sport. Charlie, 16, and Kai, 17, are perhaps the biggest names in the field, but their golfing resumes do not compare to many of the other players.

Charlie is ranked 713th in the Junior Golf Scoreboard (JGS) rankings, while Kai is No. 2,342 in the girls JGS. According to Golf Channel, Charlie and Kai are the final names on the entry list. Interestingly, there are 37 names on the boys entry list, and a spokesman for the event said: “At this time, we can confirm that the field is not finalized.

“As in the past, we will release the full field in both the boys and girls draw once it is. Please keep in mind that the tournament is 36 boys and 24 girls; that has not changed.”
