Spieth a ‘magic man’ in 6-under WM Phoenix Open R2
In the second round of the 2025 WM Phoenix Open, Jordan Spieth delivered a masterful performance, shooting a 6-under-par 65 to reach a cumulative score of 9-under, placing him in a tie for fourth.
Spieth’s round was highlighted by two eagles within a three-hole span on the back nine. He sank a 5-foot eagle putt on the par-5 13th and followed it up with an 11-foot eagle on the par-5 15th. These impressive shots propelled him into contention.
Reflecting on his performance, analysts lauded Spieth’s “magic” on the course, particularly his ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities during the back nine.
