Rickie Fowler may have fallen off the radar in recent years, but at the Charles Schwab Challenge, he showed flashes of his old brilliance. Heading into the final round, the six-time PGA Tour winner was within striking distance, having carded a 64 on Friday after making the turn in 29.

Though he ultimately finished five shots behind early second-round leader Ben Griffin, Fowler’s game looked sharper, and his confidence returned.

Though he ultimately finished five shots behind early second-round leader Ben Griffin, Fowler’s game looked sharper, and his confidence returned.

The Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas, host of the $9.5 million event is a course Fowler enjoys, and his comments reflected per Hindustan Times: “It’s definitely coming around. I know it’s been slow last year and slow start to the year. Body is starting to feel better, and the game been in a good spot and not very far off.”

With his body feeling better and game trending upward, Fowler seems primed for a resurgence. A tough final-round 74 left Fowler tied for 16th, seven strokes behind Griffin, who won the tournament.

Off the course, Fowler has all the support he could ask for, especially from his wife, Allison Stokke Fowler. A former pole vaulter and sports model, Allison is not just his partner but one of his biggest fans.

Whether it’s cheering him on at the Masters or caddying during the Par 3 Contest, Allison has stood by Fowler’s side throughout his highs and lows.

She once shared heartfelt posts on Instagram about their bond.
