Rory McIlroy is one of the world’s most famous golfers, and is also playing some of his best golf. The Northern Irish golfer plays on the PGA Tour, and he most recently completed the career grand slam after winning the 2025 Masters Tournament in Augusta, Georgia. Overall, the golfer has won five major championships, including the 2011 US Open, the 2012 and 2014 PGA Championship, and the 2014 Open Championship, in addition to his recent Masters Tournament victory. He is one of only six golfers to complete the career grand slam, solidifying himself as one of the best golfers in the history of golf.

Throughout his career, McIlroy has surpassed $100 million on the PGA Tour. He is only the second golfer to do so, following Tiger Woods. In addition to his tournament earnings, McIlroy has earned countless sponsorships and endorsement deals. These business ventures have helped McIlroy achieve a net worth of over $250 million. Because of this, it is no wonder that McIlroy owns and operates his own business jet. Let’s take a closer look at this private jet, as well as some of the features that have made this aircraft so popular among wealthy travelers.

Currently, Rory McIlroy flies a recently manufactured Gulfstream G650ER. According to multiple reports, McIlroy’s aircraft is registered as N1989R. According to FlightAware, this aircraft was first built in 2022 and has a serial number of 6510. The official owner of the aircraft is registered as TVPX Aircraft Solutions, which is a trustee company for various aircraft operators based in North Salt Lake, Utah. This company officially registered the new aircraft on April 14, 2025, although McIlroy was operating this aircraft prior to the certification change. This was also the final day of the 2025 Masters Tournament, which McIlroy won.

McIlroy was originally born in Holywood, County Down, in Northern Ireland. However, he currently lives in Jupiter, Florida, a popular town for golfers due to the warm weather year-round and the abundance of challenging golf courses in the area. Because of this, McIlroy and his team chose to register his new aircraft in the United States, hence the N-tag registration.

The aircraft is not readily available for tracking details, especially since McIlroy recently took delivery of this aircraft. Even so, multiple reports have confirmed that McIlroy flew this aircraft to Augusta, Georgia, for the Masters Tournament, and back to Northern Ireland after the tournament concluded.
