The 2025 Masters Tournament will take place at Augusta National from April 7 to April 13, with two-time champion Rory McIlroy among the favourites to win the major

The Masters is set to revolutionize golf viewing in 2025 by offering fans comprehensive data on every shot taken by the players throughout the tournament. Augusta National, which will host the major from April 7 to April 13, has unveiled a groundbreaking approach for enthusiasts to engage with the event.

On Monday, the Masters released details about the tournament coverage, including TV schedules, radio broadcasts, and streaming options. A standout addition is the Track feature, which will provide intricate details of each shot during the players’ practice sessions over the week.

Fans can expect to see metrics such as distance, carry, speed, hang time, height, curve, wind conditions, complete with 3D tracings and scatterplots from every session.

The official statement highlighted: “In addition to the live-viewing experience, Masters digital platforms have expanded the Track feature to include the driving range at the Tournament Practice Area.

Beginning on Monday, April 7, users will have access to live and recorded data on every single shot from each player during their range sessions throughout the 2025 Masters. Each individual shot will deliver a 3D tracing, and a full scatterplot for every player will be available from each day of their range sessions.”

Heading into the tournament, two-time Masters winner Scottie Scheffler is pegged as the frontrunner, with Rory McIlroy and other top golfers also expected to make a strong showing. While McIlroy has yet to don the coveted green jacket, he’s had a solid season so far, clinching two victories since the start of the year.
