On Galentine’s Day, Paige Spiranac Shares Her Philosophy on the Power of ‘Platonic Soulmates’

Paige Spiranac on the Power of Female Friendships
Former professional golfer and social media powerhouse Paige Spiranac has built her brand by fully embracing who she is—both on and off the course. As a trailblazing content creator and advocate for female athletes, she’s broken barriers in sports while encouraging women to take control of their financial futures. And in honor of Galentine’s Day, she’s celebrating another vital part of her life: the deep, supportive friendships that shape her world.
We caught up with the Colorado native ahead of the holiday to talk about what love and friendship mean to her.
“Some of my female friendships have been the most valuable, fulfilling, and genuine relationships I’ve ever had,” Spiranac shares. “I think finding platonic soulmates is just as special as finding a romantic soulmate. I try to celebrate my best friends any chance I get! Whether that’s sending an encouraging text, a small gift when they achieve something big, or just hyping them up when they look amazing—those small gestures mean everything.”
Uplifting Women, On and Off the Course
At 31 years old, Spiranac has made a lasting impact beyond sports. Since debuting in SI Swimsuit in 2018 in Aruba, she’s continued to redefine what it means to be a modern athlete and public figure. Last year, she returned for the magazine’s 60th-anniversary Legends shoot, further solidifying her place as an influential voice in sports and media.
Her dedication to empowering women extends beyond the spotlight. She’s been a mentor to fellow SI Swimsuit star and LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne, the highest-paid female college athlete, as she navigates the world of NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) deals. Just as she encourages young athletes to know their worth and build their personal brands, Spiranac applies the same mindset to her personal relationships.
“I’ve found that all my personal relationships are at their best when I’m at my best,” she says. “I’ve invested in a self-care routine that makes me feel my best—from therapy to working out to clean eating—which has helped me become the best version of myself.”
A Message of Strength and Self-Love
Spiranac has long embraced the power of confidence and self-expression. While on set in Hollywood, Fla., for SI Swimsuit last year, she reflected on the importance of owning every part of herself.
“I love being a woman,” she said. “I love that I can be feminine and soft, but also strong and confident. You can use everything to your advantage to be successful.”
Her message this Galentine’s Day is clear: Love isn’t just about romance—it’s about celebrating the people who support, uplift, and inspire you. Because soulmates come in all forms.
