GolfMagic understands Dustin Johnson is no longer a TaylorMade ambassador having served the company ever since turning pro in 2007.

GolfMagic understands TaylorMade’s long-term association with LIV Golf star Dustin Johnson is now over.

Johnson, 40, first signed for TaylorMade when he turned professional in 2007.

DJ went on to win 24 times on the PGA Tour including two major titles at the 2016 U.S. Open and 2020 Masters.

The big-hitting American became just the third player in PGA Tour history to win a Tour title in each of his first 13 seasons.

Johnson also went on to become World No.1 for a total of 135 weeks, ranking third in the all-time list behind second-placed Greg Norman (331) and runaway leader Tiger Woods (683).

Current World No.1 and TaylorMade staff player Scottie Scheffler (126) is closing in on DJ’s record though and he is on pace to catch his compatriot after The Masters in April.

Dustin Johnson is no longer a TaylorMade ambassador

Johnson decided to tear up his PGA Tour card in the summer of 2022 when he penned a reported $200m deal to join LIV Golf.

He has since gone on to win three LIV Golf titles in Boston (2022), Tulsa (2023) and Las Vegas (2024).

But as a result of LIV Golf being shut out of receiving Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) points, along with some indifferent recent results in the majors, Johnson has slid to an unthinkable 578th position in the world as of this week.

The former World No.1 ended his 15-year apparel deal with adidas Golf last season.

GolfMagic understands that Johnson has also now ended his 18-year equipment deal with TaylorMade.

DJ’s long-term deal came to an end at the end of the 2024 season, TaylorMade has confirmed to GolfMagic.

As a result Johnson is now a free agent in the golf equipment world.
