A golf star has issued his say on LIV Golf after being axed from the circuit.

Golf star Eugenio Chacarra has lashed out at LIV Golf after being axed from the breakaway circuit. The 24-year-old is now eyeing up a place on the PGA Tour and wants to compete in the Ryder Cup and the Masters.

Chacarra was ranked as the No. 2 amateur in the world in 2022 and was persuaded to join LIV Golf rather than linking up with the Korn Ferry Tour.

He signed a three-year contract at the time but has now been dropped by Sergio Garcia’s Fireballs GC team.

Chacarra discussed his departure from LIV Golf during an interview with Tom Hobbs, who is known as Flushing It on X. And the Spaniard explained: “When I joined LIV they promised OWGR (Official World Golf Ranking) and Majors.

“But it didn’t happen. I trusted them. I was the first young guy, then the others came after I made the decision. But OWGR and Majors still hasn’t happened.

“I saw you last year when they pulled the bid. It’s frustrating, but I’m excited for the new opportunity and to see where my game takes me.
