Bryson DeChambeau shows true colors as LIV Golf star has perfect reaction to Masters invite

Bryson DeChambeau is a two-time major champion and has played the Masters tournaments on eight occasions, but receiving an invite to Augusta National is still a special moment for the LIV star

Bryson DeChambeau has shown exactly what it means to be handed an invite to compete at the Masters through the post, describing it as his “childhood dream”.

DeChambeau has announced himself as one of the best players on the planet in recent years, especially on the major championship stage. The LIV Golf star is a two-time U.S. Open champion and secured his latest national crown earlier this year at Pinehurst No. 2.

DeChambeau secured victory in dramatic fashion in June, overcoming his PGA Tour rival Rory McIlroy on the very final hole of the tournament in North Carolina, making a remarkable up-and-down from the bunker.

Despite becoming one of golf’s biggest names, it appears receiving an invite to play in the most prestigious major of all, the Masters, is still as special as the very first time he was handed a spot as an amateur eight years ago. Like every year, Augusta National sent out their iconic green invites to those competing.

And DeChambeau shared the moment he unboxed his with his followers on Instagram. Posting a video of him showing off his invite to the camera, the Crushers GC star from Modesto, California, added the caption: “Every golf kids dream… an invitation to @themasters

“Hard work works and I’m forever grateful to play the sport I love.” It is no secret that DeChambeau’s record and previous experiences with Augusta are slightly chequered. In 2020, the two-time major winner infamously described the famous Georgia track as a “par 67” due to his distance off the tee.
