Despite All Setbacks, Jessica Korda Increases Comeback Hype With a Nelly Korda Update

Jessica Korda was spotted swinging her clubs on the course at the 2023 Cognizant Founders Cup last. It has been almost nineteen months since she has been away from the game that she loves so much. Nelly Korda’s sister was pregnant with baby Greyson John DelPrete, who was born on February 3.

She declared her hiatus to be an indefinite one, as she wanted to spend more time off the course with her baby, and also recover from a back injury that she has been dealing with since 2022. That only got worse because she had been playing through it. In May 2023, she wrote, “At the advice of my medical team, I have made the tough decision to stop playing until I can get my back fully healthy. At this point, we don’t have a firm timeline for my return but I’m working with the best of the best and am focused on coming back as soon as possible.” But there might finally be some good news for her fans.

Hints of comebacks have been flying all around in the last few months. On October 27, Jessica Korda posted a video of herself practicing her swing for the first time since May 2023. In the caption, she wrote, So an emergency FaceTime with @nellykorda to talk fundamentals and 💥 boom 💥 mom’s still got it — minus the camera angle.. that needs improvement.” Looks like the virtual sessions have finally turned into physical ones.

Nelly Korda recently put up a picture with Jessica Korda, both of them with golf clubs in their hands. After sharing Nelly Korda’s story, Jessica Korda also put up a video of her swing from the course. Could this mean that she will finally start teeing off from the 2025 LPGA Tour season? Well, the fans are hoping so.

While Jessica Korda is hinting at a much-awaited comeback, Nelly Korda has been off the greens for a while, taking a much-deserved break.

Nelly Korda enjoys off-season with sister Jessica Korda

After taking a 2 months break because of her neck injury, Nelly Korda came back for the ANNIKA and was last seen teeing off at the CME Group Tour Championship in November, where she finished with a T5. With that came the end of the LPGA Tour 2024 season for her. As Christmas approaches, she has been enjoying every moment with her family.

Nelly Korda shared a sneak peek of her holiday celebrations with fans, posting a photo of her cozy Christmas setup on Instagram. The picture featured a beautifully adorned tree, a crackling fireplace, and all the festive touches that captured the warmth and joy of the season.

Well, even spending time teaching her sister how to get back in form is her savoring her moment off the course. She will be teeing off at the Grant Thornton Invitational with Tony Finau starting December 9. After her fire 2024 season, fans are eagerly waiting to see what she has in store for the 2025 season.

Do you think that the Korda sisters will finally be back together after two long years? Stay tuned to find out!
