Bryson DeChambeau currently boasts a whopping 1.7 million followers on Instagram. Well, how did that happen? This is because he shifted some of his focus from playing exceptional golf to making more content online for his social media, in recent years. The American professional shared about his social media journey at the 2924 LIV Golf Nashville. While it was rather risky for him to begin the saga, it was popular YouTuber Mr. Beast. One of the biggest influencers who inspired him to take a leap of faith.

“I saw what Mr Beast did in 2016 up to where he is now. Over 200 million followers, a kid from Greenville, North Carolina. And just an entertaining character, not an athlete,” he said after stating how he struggled through the initial years. However, when it comes to golf influencers, he is pretty much invincible now. He collaborates with some of the greatest entities. As it turns out, Mr. Beast helped him with one of the collaborations too.

MrBeast reportedly offered to bring fellow social media star Jerry the Kid to compete against Bryson DeChambeau. According to reports, MrBeast reached out to Jerry, a BurstoT personality, inviting him to fly out and challenge DeChambeau for a $1 million prize. “Jerry is born for this. He’s the perfect guy to play in that, and he would be the perfect guy for the tournament we’re trying to put together,” said Barstool president Dave Portnoy.

He went on to add how his company was planning to do something similar. And well, now Jerry, who is the perfect match for it, has got Mr. Beast and the Scientist to contend with. When he shared his idea with DeChambeau, he loved it and wanted to be a sort of it. Portnoy ultimately decided that Jerry wouldn’t join MrBeast to compete with DeChambeau, choosing instead to use him for Barstool’s event. He also mentioned that he hasn’t heard from the 2024 U.S. Open champion recently, and the news of DeChambeau’s involvement in MrBeast’s event gave him pause.
