Bryson DeChambeau has confirmed he may head to India in early 2025 with his entire LIV Golf team to compete at the International Series event.

Bryson DeChambeau has confirmed he may be heading to India next year with his entire LIV Golf team to compete on the Asian Tour.

DeChambeau told Joy Chakravarty of the Hindustan Times that his LIV teammate Anirban Lahiri has orchestrated the plans.

An official announcement is expected soon, but it is understood an International Series event will be played in late January at DLF Golf & Country Club in Gurgaon.

The International Series is the official pathway to LIV Golf, with the winner of the order of merit earning a spot on the lucrative Saudi-backed league for the following campaign.

“I am aware that Baan is going to be involved, and we have had a few talks about it,” DeChambeau told the publication.

“It will be a very important week for him. I will support him fully, and if everything works out, I am extremely excited about the opportunity to play in India.”

DeChambeau added: “I have never been there, but it’s a country that has fascinated me.

“I have always loved being a global player and I greatly enjoy playing in as many countries as possible.”

Paul Casey, who recently split with his coach Peter Kostis, and American Charles Howell III make up the rest of the Crushers team.

Lahiri said that he thinks the plans are almost finalised. “I think we are almost there.

“There are just a few minor things on which we have to dot the i’s and cross the t’s.

“But yes, I think it will be massive for Indian golf fans if Bryson is there.

Single-handedly, with what he does on the golf course and outside it through his social media channels and his interaction with fans, he has brought millions of new fans to our sport.

“I think we can all agree he is the most popular golfer in the world right now.”

Lahiri was referring to the fact DeChambeau has now gained a huge following on his YouTube channel.

He has now amassed more than 1.5m subscribers on the platform.

His ‘Break 50’ series has been extremely popular, with Donald Trump, Phil Mickelson, Tony Romo and John Daly all appearing on his channel in recent months following his second U.S. Open win at Pinehurst No.2.
