Scottie Scheffler’s caddie, Ted Scott, recently spoke about the golfer’s competitive spirit. During the interview, he also revealed Scheffler’s “favorite line.”

Scheffler and Scott have been together for more than three years and have achieved significant success. This year was particularly special, as they won seven titles and an Olympic gold medal.

Recently, in a conversation with PGA Tour’s SiriusXM, Scott shared Scheffler’s favorite line.

“You can call it mean. I mean, his favorite line now is ‘Don’t make me go back to prison,'” he said.

However, the veteran caddie quickly clarified that he was joking. He also spoke about the World No. 1 golfer’s competitive nature, citing an example from pickleball.

“He is a killer,” he continued. “When we play pickleball, his only goal is to hit me. So he’s just a fiery competitor, and most people don’t realize that. I got a good taste of it.

“During the Byron Nelson one year, early on, he, Sam Burns, myself, and Seth Reeves were in the pool playing two-on-two pool volleyball. He and Sam got into an argument over whether a ball was out or not and swam towards each other, dunking each other the week of a tournament,” he added.

Scott also lauded the competitive spirit of the likes of Scheffler and Burns, adding that they like to surround themselves with similar types of people to bring out the best in each other.
