Scottie Scheffler makes honest Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka LIV confession

The Presidents Cup is set to tee off in Montreal and Team USA’s leading light Scottie Scheffler has come clean about those LIV stars he misses on the PGA Tour.

Scottie Scheffler has revealed he misses playing with fellow stars Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka. As action at the Presidents Cup gets underway and the US eyes a tenth straight victory over the International Team, two notable Americans are missing from those who will do battle.

US Open champ DeChambeau and five-time major winner Koepka are ineligible to star on the 12-man team because they are currently playing on the LIV Golf series, not the PGA Tour, who run the Presidents Cup.

Scheffler will be reunited with his compatriots in a matchplay event this December in Las Vegas, however, and has come clean as the pair miss out on starring at the Royal Montreal Golf Club.

When asked about the December exhibition, Scheffler commented: “My manager takes care of a lot of that stuff. When he originally brought it up to me, I was like, yeah, it sounds like fun.

I’ve partnered with Brooks and Bryson at Ryder Cups before, but those are two guys I really miss competing against. Brooks has five major championships — five, six? Five. That’s a pretty cool record for him. He’s had a great career. He’s a guy I love competing against.

“You’ve got Bryson, with all his stuff, I think he’s a fun guy to be around. It definitely interested me, and the way things fell together, it seemed to work out nice. It seems like a fun deal.”

The made-for-TV event will see Scheffler partner with one of Europe’s leading names, Rory McIlroy, as he takes on his former Ryder Cup team-mates and LIV’s finest.
