In pictures: Nelly Korda recaps her tough loss at the Kroger Queen City Championship

Nelly Korda finished the Kroger Queen City Championship in a tie for fifth place with Hyo Joon Jang, both on 14 under. The event took place at TPC River’s Bend in Cincinnati, Ohio, from 19-22 September.

After playing in the tournament, Nelly Korda expressed her appreciation for the experience. Korda used her social media profiles to post pictures of herself in various scenes from the event, accompanied by the following caption:

Nelly Korda arrived at the Kroger Queen City Championship fresh from winning the Solheim Cup a week earlier. At Robert Trent Jones Golf Club, Korda once again shone with three points from four matches.

The world number one had the best finish of any Solheim Cup player at the Kroger Queen City Championship. She did so despite being tired from the previous week’s efforts.

Several of the Solheim Cup players said they were tired at TPC River’s Bend, including Nelly Korda herself. Here’s what she had to say (via ASAP Sports):

“Even though you’re tired this week, I mean, with everything that went on last week, you’re tired but not tired of golf. Coming out here and competing, doing what I love just gives me a little bit more energy boost.”
