World No.1 and PGA Tour superstar Scottie Scheffler has made a remarkable admission about how he pays his caddie Ted Scott.

World No.1 Scottie Scheffler has revealed he had absolutely no idea how much money his caddie Ted Scott made in 2024.

Scheffler has enjoyed a whirlwind year on the PGA Tour, winning on seven occasions.

The 28-year-old added a second green jacket to his wardrobe in April with a dominant performance at The Masters.

And he claimed an Olympic gold medal in August.

In total, Scheffler has earned $29.2m in prize money.

If Scheffler tips his looper 10 per cent, we can safely assume that Scott has earned a tidy sum of cash this year.

“We have a girl that helps us pay bills basically because I’m a child and I can’t keep track of all that stuff,” Scheffler said of the topic in a recent appearance on the Pardon My Take podcast.

“She quickly took over that job and texts me at the end of every week, and is like, ‘Hey, this is how much we’re paying Ted.’ I’m like, ‘That’s great. Perfect.'”

Scheffler didn’t just win $29.2m.

He also pocketed two mega bonuses.

First, he picked up $8m as the leader of the Comcast Business Tour Top 10.

Scheffler also claimed $25m for winning the FedEx Cup for the very first time in his career.

When the total figure of $62.2m was put to Scheffler, he said: “I did read that, yeah.

“It’s been a fun year, I don’t really think about the money that much.

“I think that kind of becomes a big deal with the FedEx and everything, but at the end of the day I’m just playing golf and the money is just a gift on top of that.”
