Hat worn by Scottie Scheffler in PGA Championship after arrest up for auction

The hat worn by Scottie Scheffler, Olympic gold medalist and 2024 Masters champion, in the second round of the PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club — the day of his arrest by Louisville Metro Police — is up for auction.

Donated by Scheffler to the Kids Cancer Alliance for the Concert for the Cause fundraising event, the signed hat and three signed golf balls, has a current bid of $450+, will have a new home Saturday night.

The live and silent auction is being held at 6 p.m. at the Louisville Marriott Downtown, 280 W Jefferson St., and features other items including a guitar signed by multiple country music artistd, a signed John Elway jersey and a signed Aaron Judge bat.

The Concert for the Cause fundraising event has raised more than $5,250,000 in the past 14 years, bringing in more than $750,000 in 2023. All proceeds support children with cancer and family members.
