While Justin Thomas Redeems Himself, Best Friend Jordan Spieth in Tough Spot Over PGA Tour Mistakes

Are the SB2K crew members going to meet the same fate? Last year in August, Justin Thomas ended the Wyndham Championship with a rather commendable position at T12, thanks to his 2-under 68 score in the final round. However, it was not good enough, as he finished 71st on the season-long FedEx Cup points list.

The result? He missed the cut at the FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis at hair’s breadth since only the top 70 were eligible to participate. But JT made up for it this year by making the postseason cut. However, it looks like this year, his best buddy, Jordan Spieth, might find himself in the same situation JT faced last season.

Jordan Spieth began the 2024 season with a third-position finish at the Sentry in January. But that was followed by a disappointing T39 finish at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. The 13-time PGA Tour winner was disqualified from the Genesis Invitational for incorrectly marking the scorecard. Spieth missed six cuts out of the 20 events he participated in this year.
