According to Golf Planate, “To familiarize himself with French customs and traditions a few days before the Olympic golf tournament in Guyancourt, Scottie Scheffler treated himself to a getaway to one of the most beautiful golf resorts in France.” Scheffler was hence at Sologne in the Bordes area, preparing for his very first Olympic appearance in Paris. His preparations have been going on so vigorously that the golfer chose not to attend the opening ceremony on July 27th either.

His presence in Paris has been creating much buzz among the fans. But the reactions are quite mixed. While some fans are overjoyed to see world no. 1 represent the USA, a few heavily criticized his absence at the opening ceremony.

With a return to his bearded look, fans are hopeful that his Paris game might be a great performance as well.
