Golf Channel’s writer, Brentley Romine, shared an update about where the 2x Masters winner has been these days. During the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, Scheffler was spotted practicing at Texas’s club. Romine’s tweet read, “Scheffler won’t play Wells Fargo, but he was keeping his game sharp Thursday at Maridoe GC in Carrollton, Texas. Per a member at the club, Scheffler played with Tony Romo, used a push cart and shot 67 in wet conditions.”

His round of 67, even with poor conditions, proves that Scheffler might be looking forward to winning his fifth title this year. He has been coming off a great run. As for the last five starts, Scheffler’s record looked like this: win, win, T2 (Texas Children’s Houston Open), win, and win. His wife Meredith was recently seen at the Bay Hill Club & Lodge course where he saw victory at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. She also was at the Texas Children’s Houston Open.

Last year, Scheffler was only two strokes away from getting his then-second major win. Now, he will be on a path to his second major victory in a year if he can compete and finish. But when it comes to his personal life, the golfer feels nervous. “People have asked us how our preparation is going for the baby. I feel like, well, we are a little under-prepared. The nursery is not quite ready and we’ve had some issues at our house the last few weeks. I think that’s the exciting part. I think we are definitely under-prepared to be parents.”
